Anglers can either try their luck casting into Lake Huron for rainbow trout, chinook and coho salmon, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and walleye, or they can go further afield to one of the many streams, rivers and lakes in Huron County. The Tiger Dunlop Heritage Trail starts right by the harbour, and takes the hiker high above the Maitland River on the Menesetung Bridge. There are superb views out over the harbour and Lake Huron to the West and the river valley to the East. For those with a more energetic frame of mind there are twelve bicycle trails, some on paved roads, some on gravel tracks, but all guaranteed to take the cyclist by quiet byways through Huron County.
For those wishing a more leisurely stroll, Goderich offers more than a mile of boardwalk fronting the beaches of Lake Huron. Take your time to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the shore or view it from one of several parks along the embankment. |

Victoria Park - Water Park and Playgournd
Victoria and Nelson Street Daily 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Seasonal) Goderich has three public beaches which are conveniently connected by an old fashioned boardwalk. These waterfront parks provide great swimming, windsurfing and sailing. The Rotary Cove beach has lifeguards during July and August and a sandy, shallow area that is ideal for small children. St. Christopher's Cove and Beach offers some great wind for keen windsurfers. |

Goderich Little Theatre is one of Canada's longest running theatre groups and the governing body for The Livery Theatre. Yearly presenting theatre, music and film, The Livery is the only surviving livery stable of any size in the country designated as a heritage site and continuing to serve its community. For information call (519) 524-6262. Blyth Festival is only thirty minutes away and has six productions in repertory between June and September. Blyth specializes in plays that celebrate the county life and its ups and downs. Forty minutes away, in Grand Bend, is the Huron Country Playhouse, with eight lively and popular productions as well as concerts during the summer season. The exceptional, world famous Stratford Festival, which builds it's programmes around its Shakespearean roots, is only an hour away.
